Can’t quite believe that it’s nearly Christmas! We are almost ready for this magical evening and cannot wait to see all the families out enjoying their Christmas Eve with family, friends and neighbours.
We have been packing gift bags, with goodies for the children. The hot chocolate is a perfect size for little ones – just add 100ml of warm, boiled water! Our tester Elf said is was perfect, but our lovely ‘Elf ‘n Safety team reminded us that we were to remind everyone about the importance of an adult pouring the water or being there for the older children observing.
There are only a few more selection boxes to be collected by a generous donator and then we can get ready to help with the set up of Santa’s float.
Lovely Buddy Elf sent his apologies about not being able to attend this year, but he was more than happy for what he said was the SECOND favourite (she’s really the favourite) elf to attend in his place. Brooke is a very popular elf in the North Pole and Santa said that she loves to put on a show and cannot wait to meet you all.
We know parents/carers will keep the children off the road, but we will have marshall’s in yellow vests walking along with the float, ensuring everyone stays off the road and allows drivers to pass safely. At every opportunity the float will pull in to allow vehicles to pass, but we would ask that drivers are patient and that we apologise for the delay in advance.
